Give Back

I was in the supermarket and the woman checking out in front of me was engaged in a very uncomfortable situation with the cashier. It turns out she was $16 short. I gave the cashier the money. Both the woman and the cashier thanked me and were genuinely appreciative. I went on that day with an extra bounce in my step. Intention Setting

Most people live their lives without intention. They simply go through the motions and accept what life delivers. Those that want to influence their own destiny, learn the practice of intention setting. Intention setting means that you do not simply accept the hand you are dealt, instead, exert your influence in an effort to improve that hand. The reality is that failure simply means that you tried something that didn’t work. Thomas Edison understood failure is not necessarily a negative outcome, when he stated, “I haven’t failed I just found 10,000 ways that don’t work”.

A year after I graduated from college I decided to start a business. My goal was to become a millionaire by age 30. I found a maintenance person at my apartment complex that could build a house from the ground up and do every trade himself.…

Become a Great Storyteller

Storytelling has tremendous benefits for children. It can help them learn language skills, develop their memory and their imagination and can even serve as the delivery mechanism for them to learn history. As adults we sometimes put less importance on our ability to tell a good story. If you become a great storyteller you open yourself up to tremendous opportunities in business and in life.

People are drawn to great storytellers. Telling great stories makes you a more interesting person and puts you in the center of attention in social settings. If you want to attract more friends or potential love interests, telling great stories can be one of the greatest tools you have.…
