Manifesting Your Desires
Last week we discussed the process for manifesting your desires. The first step is to recognize the incredible power of directed, emotional thought. When you begin with very particular thought, couple it with the specific feelings surrounding that thought, and you take the necessary action, you create an incredibly powerful, and undeniable, outcome.
While some of us are fortunate to simply understand the way the universe works without any outside influence, admittedly, for most of us, including myself, the introduction to the powerful process of manifestation usually comes from someone else. For me, it was my wife, Stacy. Her mother taught her at a very early age that energy can be manipulated and life experiences created through intention.
Stacy clearly remembers her mother using this life lesson when she was 12 years old. While it seems innocuous now, it was understandably important to her as a 6th grade girl to make the cheerleading squad. Her mother sat her down, and asked her to close her eyes. She then asked my wife to be very clear in watching herself enter the try-out room, look at the judges, and go through the required routine, one move at a time, perfectly. Her mother guided her in creating the emotions (strength, charisma, grace) matching that perfect routine. Then, with her eyes still closed and those emotions filled within, she created a scene wherein Stacy walked to the bulletin board to find her name posted on the roster. When she found her name, she was asked to create the emotions of pride and excitement. Like the U.S. soccer teammate, John Brooks, who scored that winning World Cup goal, it was not a coincidence that my wife’s scene played out exactly as envisioned.
Life is filled with full-circle moments. That is precisely why today, as I write this, my wife is now guiding our 6th grade daughter through her own manifestation of specific intent. Our daughter is diminutive and is undergoing growth hormone therapy. My wife created a framed sign that sits by her bed, declaring an affirmation for growth. She has my daughter close her eyes before each nightly shot, and repeat the affirmation. Then, after asking her to believe it, she makes our daughter repeat it.
It’s immaterial whether what you want is simplistic, like making a sports team, or lofty, such as retiring at forty. The process is the same. Be very clear on what you desire. Then, create a precise mental movie of that goal. Surround the images with a full range of matching emotions. Whether you are focusing on a new job, a mate, or even a material possession, you must match the visual intention with the emotional reaction. Do this every morning upon waking and every night before falling asleep. Remember, your mind cannot tell the difference between reality and clear visualization.
I suggest you focus on one reachable goal at a time. While you may want to increase your wealth, maximize your job opportunities, find a perfect mate, improve your health, or expand your personal development, it’s important to use the visualization techniques on one specific goal at a time. Clarity invokes believability. And when you believe it, so must the universe, so start manifesting your desires.
