Likability is an underrated skill. Likable people typically experience more success. If people like you they will be more apt to help you. The more help you get the further you get in life.
The old adage of being ruthless is not the answer. Every ruthless person I have known has eventually crashed and burned. From the bully in school to the corporate CEO that got there by stepping on others, once you create enemies, any misstep can lead to your demise. Call it karma or just the reality of life. At some point we all need the help of others.…

So much of the stress we experience is self-induced. We create it though our own action or lack thereof. If you’d like to prevent stress or dramatically reduce its frequency or intensity follow five simple rules.
1. End Procrastination-In college I waited until the night before my economics exam to begin studying. I would argue that graduation from your highest level of education can mean the end of formal classroom training, but we must always continue to learn.…

As a huge rock and roll fan, I can’t help but be affected by the recent deaths of two of the greatest songwriters over the past few weeks: Glenn Frey from the Eagles and David Bowie. What I admire about these two individuals is their legacy. Their music will live on even though they will no longer be here to perform it.
This gets me thinking about my own mortality. What evidence of my presence will still exist after I’m gone? Will I succeed in making the world a better place?
For those of us with children we can derive a sense of immortality by knowing that they can carry on our legacy.…
