Harness the Power of Your Subconscious Mind

We have discussed the concepts for achieving goals, both in my book, and across many of the blogs I have posted. Some people have started down the path to toward reaching those goals, while others have struggled.

The first critical point is the belief that your goal is achievable. Once you have what you feel is realistic, you need to have the discipline to take steps every day toward reaching that goal.

Our conscious mind is the place from which we normally operate when we tackle tasks like I described above. I have discussed the benefits of creating habits as a way to keep you moving forward. It takes 22 days to create a habit.  Many of us have difficulty maintaining the ritual for that period of time.

What if you could harness the power of your subconscious mind? It can be far more effective than your conscious mind to get you where you want to go.  Just look at how your heart functions: There is nothing you have to do to make your heart circulate the blood though your body.  It’s all done automatically. Now look at all the other activity going on inside the human body. It’s all being run for you. As you contemplate this, you should begin realize that this is all controlled by your subconscious. Now you begin to see just how powerful the subconscious mind actually is.

You have the ability to harness the power of your subconscious mind and use it to get where you want to go.

Your homework for this week is to dust off the goal we discussed a few weeks back, and make sure you see it as something that is realistic. If not, refine it so that you believe it is something that you are capable of accomplishing. In my next blog, I will give you a technique that you can use to harness the power of your subconscious mind.
